Parish Council News
Dear Friends of St. Anne’s,
As we step into the season of Lent, we are invited to slow down and be intentional — to notice where we are, where God is, and where we might be gently called to change or grow. Lent isn’t about getting everything right. It’s about making space: space for reflection, honesty, prayer, and renewal.
This season asks us to look inward, but never in isolation. We do this work together, as a community rooted in faith and grace. Some of us may take on a new spiritual practice, some may let something go, and others may simply try to show up with a little more patience, generosity, or compassion — for ourselves and for one another. All of it matters.
The words of the prophet Micah remind us of what God asks of us in every season, but especially in this one: “What doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” (Micah 6:8)
Here at St. Anne’s, Lent is also a time to remember that we are not walking alone. We are grateful for this parish — for the quiet faithfulness, the care shown behind the scenes, and the ways this community continues to be a place of welcome and belonging. Your presence and commitment shape who we are more than you may realize.
As wardens, we thank you for being part of this shared journey. Our prayer is that this Lenten season offers you moments of stillness, courage for reflection, and reassurance of God’s steady, abiding love — the kind of love that carries us, step by step, toward Easter hope.
May God bless you in this season of reflection and renewal.
Peace be with you,
The Wardens
Cathy and Jessica
