December 29, 2019 - Sermon     Text
Sunday Take Away:  Almighty God, you have shed upon us the new light of your incarnate Word. May this light, enkindled in our hearts, shine forth in our lives; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

December 22, 2019 - Sermon     Text
Sunday Take Away:  May God fill us with grace so that like Mary and Joseph we may embrace God's will for us in our everyday lives. As we encounter the unexpected (and sometimes unwelcomed) that bursts into our lives, may we meet what comes with faith and hope, confident in God's faithfulness in leading us.

December 15, 20019 - Sermon     Text
Sunday Take Away: In the midst of everything that is swirling around us during this busy season, let us find some moments to reflect on what it really means for us to come home to God, as we anticipate Christ coming to find a home with us.

December 8, 2019 - Sermon    Text
Sunday Take Away:  Now into this second week of Advent, John the Baptist reminds us that part of preparing for the coming of the Christ child involves the regular practice of examing our lives and our hearts before God, correcting our course as we go, ever open to God working in and through our lives. How's that going?

December 1, 2019 - Sermon    Text
Sunday Take Away:  As we enter this New Year, let’s spend some time this week reflecting back and with expectation imagining forward. As we anticipate God’s giving of God’s very self in the coming of Christ, what is our response as Jesus’ disciples?

November 2019

November 24, 2019 - Sermon   Text
Sunday Take Away: Heading into this week, we take advantage of the time and the special seasons that call out to us to reflect and to make us wise and faithful stewards of all we have received, and reaching out beyond ourselves, we offer ourselves to God’s service, with all that we are and all that we have, for on this day we remember our King, the one whom we follow this day, and always.

November 17, 2019 - Sermon   Text
Sunday Takeaway: Our passages in Isaiah today are all about hope, a hope based on God’s faithfulness to us during all of life’s ups and downs; a hope that encourages us to stay open to imagining something new as we go… the wolf and the lamb feeding together, the lion eating straw with the ox. As we begin to fully grasp all that this can mean to us, we are promised a new day of joy and rejoicing, as we dare to lean more fully each day into all that God is and can do in our lives.

November 10, 2019 - Sermon   Text - Remembrance Day
Sunday Takeaway: During our worship service this morning we have remembered and spoken of the tragedy of war, as we go out this week, let us also remember to work and pray for peace wherever God has placed us. Let us choose at every opportunity, to live into the light of Christ and the love of God.

November 3, 2019 - Sermon   Text - All Saints Day
Sunday Takeaway: As we go out this week, can we revel in the fact that we know our need of God? Can we see this need as the starting place for those things that can open us to what God may be saying to us on our journey?

October 2019

October 20, 2019 - Sermon   Text - Reverend Canon Deacon Ken Brooks
Sunday Takeaway: As we live day to day, are we guided by what Jesus has to say? What if what we do or believe is not what Jesus actually taught? Let's try to live our lives living out the two commandments, loving God and loving our neighbour as ourselves.

October 13, 2019 - Sermon    Text
Sunday Takeaway: As we go out into this week to be people of faith in our everyday lives, can we remember Paul's encouragement to us to in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let our requests be known to God in the midst of all our choices? Can we ask for the grace, and for the space to choose well?

October 6, 2019 - Sermon     Text
Sunday Takeaway: Can we spend a week of first prayerfully noticing and then giving thanks for the daily blessings in our lives and as our personal challenges appear, we bring our ‘little’ faith and ask for God’s blessing on it?

September 2019

September 29, 2019 - Sermon     Text
Sunday Takeaway: If part of what angels are commissioned to do is to help us find the courage to allow something new into our lives, what does that mean for you in your life today?

Please specify which service you will be attending.  As we know, everything depends on the public health situation and as we know more, we will share it.

We will continue to offer our virtual services for all who are more comfortable staying at home, or who perhaps just want to hear the hymns sung. Should you require entry to the church or hall, please contact a Warden.

As before, we are all encouraged to visit other services during any week there is no recorded service to enjoy the richness and diversity of all the creative expressions that is happening in worship in these curious days of Covid. Links to London Deanery church services are listed at the bottom of this page. Previous services and sermons are also available.

Continue to pray for all those impacted by the virus and its ripple effect on work and home lives.
